NAADAC WEBINARS

NAADAC is happy to offer free addiction-specific education through its Free Webinar Series.  The 2021 Free Webinar Series releases two live webinars per month, which are then captured and made available for future viewing in NAADAC’s Free On-Demand Webinar Library.

NAADAC members can get free continuing education hours (CEs) for this webinar series.  While viewing the education is free, non-members must pay to receive CEs. Click here to learn which organizations and boards accept NAADAC CEs.

To receive a CE certificate, follow these steps:

  1. Participate in a webinar by watching the live event or on-demand recording in its entirety. Each individual must register for the webinar and watch the entire presentation, which we will verify via our time tracking software. Note that downloading and reviewing the PowerPoint slides is not considered participation. You must register for and watch the presentation.
  2. Successfully pass the associated online CE quiz that is related to the webinar content.
  3. As a NAADAC member, you are able to get your CE certificate for free. Non-members must pay a fee get a CE certificate.

THE ADDICTION COUNSELOR EDUCATION (A.C.E.) PROGRAM AT ADCARE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE:

If you are considering a career in treatment services for substance use disorders, or if you are working in a related field, the program’s course work and practicum experience will serve as a valuable introduction to all aspects of the addictions field. Each course is designed to provide you with knowledge and skills required for working in the addictions field. If you are working in the field of substance use disorders and are not credentialed, you may need certification or licensure.  However, you do not need a college degree, nor do you need to be working in the addictions field, to participate in and benefit from the program.

Treatment agencies for substance use disorders are an important element in our nation’s health care delivery system. The Addiction Counselor Education program assists in the professional development of people wanting to be involved in this important and growing health care service field. All courses are taught or supervised by professionals in the substance use disorder treatment services field.

This program is available as a one-year certificate program or as individual courses (space available), with classes conveniently offered in the evenings. A Certificate of Completion is awarded (Westfield State University)  to those individuals who successfully complete the core curriculum in its entirety (six courses, pre-practicum, and practicum). Courses begin each September through Adcare Educational Institute at Adcare Hospital.

If you are considering a career in treatment services for alcoholism/chemical dependency, or if you are working in a related field, this program’s course work and practicum experience will serve as a valuable introduction to all aspects of the addictions field. Each course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills required for working in the addictions field. If you are working in the field of alcoholism/chemical dependency and are not credentialed, you may need certification or licensure in the near future. However, you do not need a college degree, nor do you need to be working in the addictions field, to participate in and benefit from the program.

Alcoholism/chemical dependency treatment service agencies are an important element in our nation’s health care delivery system. The Addiction Counselor Education program assists in the professional development of people wanting to be involved in this important and growing health care service field. All courses are taught or supervised by professionals in the alcoholism/chemical dependency treatment services field.

This program is available as a one-year certificate program. Individual courses may also be taken by those who do not need certification if space is available. Classes are conveniently offered on evenings and weekends. Courses begin each September at Westfield State University. The program is also offered in Worcester at AdCare Hospital beginning in September.
