MAADAC Counselor of the Year Award

MAADAC’s most prestigious award is the Counselor of the Year Award. This award is bestowed on an individual chosen by his/her peers, has maintained MAADAC membership for at least 3 years, and is a role model for both consumers and colleagues.

Outstanding Service Award

The Outstanding Service Award is presented to an individual or organization who has supported and advanced the professionalism of Addiction Treatment in the community and in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Robert Logue Memorial President’s Award

This award is given each year in memory of Robert Logue, past President of MAADAC and Charter Member Of the Association. Bob was a supporter of MAADAC since its’ inception in l979 throughout his Presidency, and later as Chairperson of MAADAC’s Ethics Committee.

This award is presented to an individual who has over the years, supported the Massachusetts Association of

Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors’ in achieving its’ purpose, goals and professionalism, either behind the scenes or in an active role throughout the Community.

Educator of the Year

The Addiction Educator of the Year Award is presented to the educator who has made an outstanding contribution to addiction education. Any NAADAC member in good standing may nominate an individual for this award, which is selected by the NAADAC Awards Committee. Current members of the NAADAC Executive Committee are ineligible for this award.

Eligibility Requirements:

To receive this award, the nominee must be an adjunct or full time college/university professor who has contributed through academia to the addiction profession through the mentoring of students/student chapters, colleagues, or addiction professionals, AND/OR by providing ongoing research or other contributions that grow, enhance, advocate, and educate for the addiction profession.
